New Downtown Restaurant in the Works

There’s a buzz of activity at the top of Bank Street in New Milford, as workmen go in and out of number 31, carrying lumber and tools. A sign on the window says it best: “Bank Street Tavern Opening Soon” and jobs are available.

The building formerly housed Thomas Moran’s Forsythia restaurant and, before that, a few others, including The Bistro Cafe.

The property, which was built in 1902 and first used as a hotel, is owned by Litchfield Acquisition 1, LLC, of which Chad Yonker of Litchfield is a principal.Read Story
