How To Submit Press Releases
Want to get the word out about an event, effort or topic that's newsworthy? Either fill in the basics below and a member of the editorial staff will be in touch, or send us information directly by using the directions at the bottom.
The Basics:
Who ... is the sponsor of an event, or the subject that deserves coverage?
What ... is the event, or what is the reason that coverage is desired?
When ... is the event taking place, or when would it be best for a story to appear?
Where ... is the event, or where is the subject that deserves coverage?
Why ... is the event important to our readers, or why does the person, place or thing referenced above merit a story in one of our publications?
The Other Approach:
Using the above guide as a template, e-mail a press release to news@countytimes.com or send it in the mail to Housatonic Publications/LCT, 65 Bank St., New Milford CT 06776.
On the subject line of the e-mail, or on information being mailed, make sure to note which of our newspapers the information is directed toward.
The Litchfield County Times covers all of Litchfield County and focuses on topics of widespread interest.
Our hometown paper, The Housatonic Times, primarily covers New Milford and Brookfield, but also includes coverage of Washington, Bridgewater, Roxbury and Sherman.
